Folder Crypt, by LittleLite.Netis a cool utility that you can use to protect your valuable data. The program lets you password protect and folder, or file for that matter,on your computer. You can select from a variety of encryption methods including Blowfish, DES, Triple DES, and more. I found the program to be very easy-to-use and it has an intuitive interface. That makes it perfect for users with all levels of experience.

Folder Crypt makes it quick and easy to not only encrypt, but also to hide your sensitive data. I was impressed by the fact that I could actually work on encrypted files just like they were any other files. The program decrypts and encrypts in the background so you don't even notice it. The program also integrates with the shell, and that, to me, is a plus. So, if you'd like a quick, easy way to hide and encrypt your sensitive data, take a good look at Folder Crypt. It may be just what you're looking for!

PicturePlayer, by PicturePlayer.Comis a nice program for working with and managing all your digitalphotos. The program is very easy-to-use, so it's great for both new and experienced users. In no time at all I had created a slide show, complete with music. Slick. You could use the program for other things as well including presentations, a slide show on CD, an electronic book, and more.

PicturePlayer supports many common graphics file types, like JPG,GIF, and more. When you're creating slide shows, you can pick from a range of special effects so you can fade from one picture to another. If you want you can associate text and/or a sound with each of your photos. The program lets you manage and edit your images in a variety of ways. You can copy, delete, and rename photos. You can also view them, compare them, and move them around. If you want, you can even associate a prefix to your photos. So, for example, I had the program attach a prefix of "IRE" to all of our pictures of Ireland. Very slick!

Another cool feature of PicturePlayer is that it comes with a variety of player designs. That means you can customize the "look". And each design has three layouts. You can distribute your photo slideshows royalty free and can even design your own player. That's very cool if you want to pass out CDs with a presentation and have your company logo in the player design. I found PicturePlayer to be very intuitive to use and it has a nice array of features. Give it a try, I recommend it!

AccelMan, by FlexigenSoft,Inc. is a neat file manager that has lots of cool options. Personally, I've always used a file manager, even back in the days of DOS. I find that most filemanagers have more features and are more intuitive to use than WindowsExplorer. AccelMan is not exception. The concept behind this product is intriguing to me. It give you the flexibility to have control how many panes there are, what data is in them, and more. So,for example, I created multiple "manager" and I had My Computer in one,my download directory in another, the My Music folder in another, and soon. In this way, you can focus on a particular area without being distracted by other files and folder. Nicely done!

AccelMan has a powerful image viewer built right in. That means you can do more than manage files you can see them while you work. The program is loaded with neat features and options. Use it to handle all your ZIP files, as a hex editor, heck, it can even play your music for you. It can also be configured to send out email via your own SMTP mail server. That means you can send "file attachments" directly from the file manager and bypass using your email program. You can view graphic files like GIF, PNG, JPG, and more and can even convert files from one format to another. You can manage all of your Excel and Word documents, view PDF files, HTML documents, and handle ZIP archives.

AccelMan is a powerful, flexible, and impressive file manager. It's range of features and functions keep pace with, or exceed those of similar products. The program is relatively easy-to-use and offers both a basic or default mode and an advanced one. So, if you've been looking for a better way to handle all your files, from text to Word to graphics to music, this may be it! Check it out. Impressive!

Diskeeper Professional Edition, by Executive Software, Inc. is an answer to a prayer, a solution to a problem, and lots more. You've often heard me talk about the importance of defragmentingyour hard drives. I just about preach about it just the way I do about backing up your data. The problem with defragmenting is that it's obviously very disk intensive. And, depending on the level of fragmentation, it can take quite awhile. Up to the plate stepsDiskeeper Professional to knock the problem right out of the park.

Diskeeper Professional Edition takes the defragmentation process and makes it simple. How? Because it has this wonderful feature called "Set It And Forget It!"

And that's exactly what it means. You tell the program to come on at a certain time, or under certain conditions, and it does. For example, I have it working on my computer every night from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. That means I don't have any slow-downs while my drive is defragmented and it isdefragmented. You can set the program to run based on your work habits, your schedule, and so on. There's also a primary schedule and as well as a secondary one. Slick.

Diskeeper Professional Edition is a powerful product that's perfect for both home and business. The user interface is very intuitive and the program is very easy-to-use. It's perfect for users will all levels of experience and I'll go so far as to say that you don't even have to understand what fragmentation is to eliminate it with Diskeeper. There are versions for home, small business, and even large corporations. I can tell you one thing, this is one program I would not be without. I have it on every computer I own. So, it's not just a Pick, it's also a Dr. File Finder Favorite and those are few and far between. So, check it out for yourself. In my opinion it's the only program you'll ever need to keep your hard drives defragmented. It has my very highest recommendation!
