WinBackup, by UniBlue, Inc,is a backup utility that's extremely well-done! The interface is intuitive and extremely easy-to-use and that makes it perfect for both new and experienced users. And while it's easy-to-use, it's still loaded with impressive features. The program allows you to make regular backups of all your most important files. And I can't stress enough just how important it is to keep your data backed up. WinBackup will let you schedule automatic backups so they can run while you're not using your computer. All you have to do is remember to put a fresh CDor DVD in the drive -- WinBackup can use both! And, if you're around when you run your backups you'll be pleased to know that WinBackup can"span" multiple disks. That means you can backup your entire hard disk if you want!

WinBackup utilizes file compression to make each file smaller. That means you can get more on each disc. At the same time it keeps your data secure, allowing you to encrypt it with either 128 or 256-bit encryption. And, if that weren't enough, the program even lets you password protect your backups. Want to know how your last scheduled backup went? No problem because the program keeps a complete log of its activities. Very slick! Another excellent feature is that WinBackup will do an estimate and calculate the approximate size of your backups that use compression. The program works quickly and efficiently and also works very well in the background. In several of my tests I had it backing up while I worked and it did an impressive job.

WinBackup is a backup utility thats both powerful and secure. You can password protect against unauthorized access and encrypt your data. Backups can be scheduled for different times and the program runs very well in the background. It backups up to CD or DVD, utilizes compression to save space, and keeps detailed logs of what it does. And yet, with all the things it provides, the program is still very intuitive and easy-to-use! I've evaluated a number of backup utilities, and for my money WinBackup is one of the best I've tried. So, if you've been meaning to backup all of your valuable data, don't waste another minute. Give WinBackup a try -- I think you'll be impressed!

Backup4all, by Softland is a nifty backup utility that's also quite powerful. I found the program to have an intuitive interface and it was very easy-to-use. I think that makes it perfect for both new and experienced users. One excellent feature is a "wizard" that walks you through the entire process. Give your backup a name, pick all the folders you want to backup, pick individual files, and select other options for your backup depending on your preferences. For packing up files, the program creates ZIP format files. Depending on your needs you can either go for maximum compression of fastest time -- your pick. And, if you want, use a password to further protect you data. Again, the choice is up to you.

Backup4all will let you schedule backups so they may be done automatically. One way to do it is just to set up all the backups you want and then just schedule them to run at different times. A great way to keep your important data safe and secure. Another great feature in the program is the ability to do an "incremental" backup. That means you can keep different versions of the same backup. And what does that mean? Well, for one, that you could have one file, but maintain different copies of it. In one copy you might say something one way, in another copy something different. A very handy feature to have. And the program will let you back up to CD-R, CD-RW, ZIP disk, even another hard drive, or a drive on your network. Slick!!

Backup4all, by Softland, is a powerful backup utility that's also easy-to-use. It offers a range of configurable options, and I like that. It also lets you backup to a wide range of media, including ZIP disks, CDs, and even network drives. The program is intuitive and the handy wizard makes backing up a snap for anyone. And, you can even schedule your backups, so you don't forget. So, if you're looking for a program to keep all your data backed up, take a good look at this! I think you'll like it! Nicely done!

Comments - PRN When you backup your computer you're making a copy of important files and storing them in a different place. If you think about it, you're doing something similar when you use software to synchronize files on two or more computers. I synchronize all of the "My Documents" folders on the key computers on my network. So, in effect, I've "backed up" everyone files simply by synchronizing them from one computer to another. If you have two computers this can be a viable alternative to using backup software.Just use synchronization software to keep the files on the two computers the same.

With Second Copy 2000, by CenteredSystems you can do automatic backups to a variety of devices.Backup to a network drive, another hard drive, or a "Zip Disk". You can create profiles, or backup sets, that contain all the information for doing a backup. And doing backups are important, trust me. Don't wait to find out the hard way just how important they are. With this nifty program it's easy to create a "second copy" of your really important files. The program actually 'watches' the files you select and notices when there have been changes. When it does, it springs into action and updates everything in the backup location you've selected.Very cool!

Second Copy has an intuitive user interface and that makes it easy-to-use. That also makes it perfect for users with all levels of experience. It has a neat feature that lets you keep multiple copies of the same file. So, for example, say you're working on a proposal for work. You can have a copy that proposes Option A, and another copy that proposes Option B. All the other text can be the same, but Second Copy is helping you to keep different versions of files with the same name.Very handy. So, if you're looking for a program that will make it easy to keep your important data backed up, look no further! Second Copy has won the SIAF People's Choice Awards multiple times. Give it a try for yourself and see what I mean!

Synchromagic Pro , by InfiniSource, Inc. Inc. provides yet another way to backup your computers. If you have more than one computer, you know how difficult it can be keep certain files the same on both computers. Well, if that's a problem for you, try outSynchromagic, by Rose City Software. What a cool program. This baby can synchronize files and folders on multiple computers, and make it look easy. You can do it in one direction or bidirectionally. It also works across a LAN (local area network) so you can synchronize files between computers on a network. Slick!

Synchromagic is also great as a way to backup important files on your system. You can copy them from their original location to another drive, or another computer. Laptop owners can also benefit by being able to safely synchronize files between laptop and desktop computers.Makes it great for anyone who travels a lot and wants to keep their computers in sync! And, you can even use the program to synchronize files on your FTP server. The program has lots of configurable options that give you plenty of control over what gets copied, and what doesn't. The interface is very intuitive and easy-to-use. Extremely well done!

ShadowBack, by Warm And Fuzzy Logic is a backup program that takes a very different approach from other backup products. The interface is very intuitive and the product is very easy-to-use, which makes it perfect for both new and experienced users. The program offers a couple of different modes, a "Simple Backup" and an "Advanced Backup". If you do an advanced backup you select the files and folder you want to have backed up as you would with most backup programs. Where it gets really interesting is when you go to do a "simple" backup. Select this option and you are presented with two choices. That's right, two. You can either tell the program to "Backup My Programs" or "Backup My Work".First time around I selected the option to backup "work" because that intrigued me. Just click the button and the program takes off, backing up things like documents, Internet bookmarks, even email. I was quite impressed with how fast the program worked, and what it picked out. The program rapidly navigated around my hard disk and didn't select files that weren't important. Very slick, but there's more!

ShadowBack keeps track of files, as they change, and then backs them up for you. It can wait and back them up later in the day when your computer is idle or it can backup files as you change them.An impressive and useful feature. And just think of the peace-of-mind you'd have knowing that all your important work was not only saved, but backed up as well. The program works with a wide range of media including CD-R, CD-RW, SCSI, DVD+RW, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, tapedrives, and Firewire. Another really impressive feature is that the program offers support for a number of popular products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Outlook Express, MS Works, Money, PowerPoint, and more. If you have any of the supported programs ShadowBack will find them and you can include them specifically in your backups. It doesn't get much easier than that. And heck, the program even makes it veryeasy to backup your Windows Registry. This is one of the"smartest" backup programs I've seen to date, no doubt about it.

ShadowBack, by Warm And Fuzzy Logic, is a powerful backup tool that's also very easy-to-use. You can go into advanced mode and select exactly what you want to have backed up. Or, you can tell the program to backup your work, or your programs, and let it take off on its own.The real time backup option is truly innovative and it gives you the ability to know that your important work is ALWAYS backed up. The program supports a wide range of media types and couldn't be easier to use. It's ideally suited to newer users because it can find the data you need backed up which means you don't have to worry about it or try to find it. And, at the same time, it's also excellent for experienced users because you can define exactly what you want backed up . So, if you're looking for a backup program that was designed with users in mind, you owe it to yourself to take a good look at ShadowBack! It's one of the most impressive programs I've looked at this year. Give it a try, I know you'll like it.
