Greetings and Welcome! We're halfwaythrough March and here in Colorado the weather has been great! Lots ofsunshine and warm temperatures in what is supposed to be our snowiestmonth. I'll let you know if we get lots of snow in the last half of themonth. In any event, I've been looking at lots of software and I'vepicked out some good titles to tell you about.

Keyword Companion, by OMS3 PTY LTDis a slick tool for working with keywords. The program isreally powerful and I was impressed with how fast it is. KeywordCompanion can sort through huge lists very quickly, eliminating the wordsand phrases you don't want. A cool feature is that the program canimport lists generated by other programs making it very flexible. Nicelydone.

Keyword Companion is loaded with features that help you to workwith keywords faster and more efficiently. More importantly, in myopinion, is that it helps you to manage keywrods. It uses a4-step process to sort and refine your keyword lists. This is a programthat you really have to try for yourself in order to appreciate it whatit does. I'm going to come back to this program another time so I canreally do it justice. Working with keywords? Then take a goodlook at Keyword Companion.

CDizz Player, by Animagics Inc.is a fun little program that I just had to tell you about. What does it do? It makes your music look better. That's right and it's a clever idea. You can use the program with music CDs that you've purchased. Itdoesn't work with CDs that you've created yourself. The program headsout to the Internet and findd images, cover art, tablature, and more allpertaining to the album.

CDizz Player is fun and I had a good time testing it out. Theprogram is FREE as in NO COST. You can't ask for much better thanthat. The program is loaded with cool features including the ability toplay Flash animation, display "credits", provide you with trivia aboutthe album, gives you news on the artists, and lots more. It also hasfeatures for karaoke that give you timing information. The same is truefor guitar chords. A great help to any singing or musician hopefuls. Youcan do slideshows and even upload the stuff you've put together to sharewith other users. Get yourself a real multimedia experience and giveCDizz Player a try. Very nicely done.

AVS Audio Tools, by Online Media Technologies Ltd.is a package of ten (10) audio tools. You can buy the tools and do allkinds of things with audio. I'll spend a little time with each ofthe tools to give you and idea of just how much this package covers. There's an audio grabber that helps you rip music fromCDs. Don't worry, it doesn't hurt. This tool will also grab informationfor you from the CDDB online database. Slick. There's also anaudio uploader that you can use for uploading audio to yourhandheld devices. In testing it out I uploaded some pictures of my grandchildren and some ringtones to my phone. Speaking of ringtones,

there's also a ringtone maker that helps you to create your ownringtones for you phone. Works really well and is quite easy-to-use. Thescreen shot shows a picture of this tool in action. You can use it tomake some really individualized ringtones. The package also hasan audio converter that supports a large number of audio formats. Also in the package you'll find an audio recorder. I used thisone to creat some sounds for my computer. There's also a CDcreator, a tool for burning MP3s, as well as a CD cloning tool. Lastbut not least is an Internet radio recorder. Slick.

AVS Audio Tools packs a lot of functionality into this onepackage. You're probably thinking that the price is going to reflect ittoo. Well, think again. I was actually shocked to see how much thisentire package goes for. I've spent more for one tool. You canget this entire package for $29 and change. What a deal. The AVS AudioTools are easy-to-use and intuitive. They're powerful and alsoconfigurable. I like them so well that they aren't only a Pick, but alsoa Dr. File Finder Favorite and those arefew and far between. This is a package I'm going to have to buy and youmight want to as well. If you're into audio this is the packageyou need to buy. Check it out, I recommend it.

BeInSync, by BeInSyncis an interesting product for staying in sync with all your files. Itapproaches this problem in a slightly different way than other products.Over the years I've tried just about every products available forsynchronizing files, folders, and computers. BeInSync makes itpossible to get at your files from multiple computers.

In the screen shot BeInSync is getting ready to synchronizer themail folders between my virtual machine (that I'm working in), and myreal computer. In this way the program is acting like apeer-to-peer client and I'm actually sharing files withmyself. At the same time you can use the product to actually share fileswith others. Not only are the files in sync, but they are also backed upand available from anywhere. Slick!

BeInSync offers you lots of flexibility. It's easy-to-use andintuitive. Just install a copy on each computer you want to keep insync. You can use the product to keep computers synced, or you can putfiles there that you want to access from anywhere. Because you canaccess your BeInSync from any Web browser you can getthem no matter where you are. Share folders and data with friend andassociates easily. You invite them, they receive an email, and they canthen access the files. BeInSync is a powerful way to synchronizecomputers, share files, and have access to your files from anywhere.Note that because it engages in peer-to-peer file sharing someanti-virus programs will sound an alert. If you want access to your filesfrom anywhere, check out BeInSnyc. I'm going to do an extendedreview of this program so stay tuned for that.

Snaptune One is a neat way to look for music online. You tell theprogram to look for particular Internet radio stations. What's reallycool is that the program records the stations and determines whatsongs it recorded. You can schedule it to run at night, for example, andfind new music on your computer the next day. I want to spend some moretime fiddling with it, but don't wait for me. Check it out! I'll have mycomplete review done soon.

That brings us to a close at least for today. I hope you enjoyed readingabout these fine programs. I also hope you'll take the time to downloadthem and try them for yourself.
