Greetings and Welcome! As we hit themiddle of June the weather around here keeps getting better and better. Some days it's really hard sitting in my office when I can see thebeautiful weather outside. That's when I copy my virtual machine over tomy laptop and go outside and sit on the deck to work. In any event, thebeat goes on. I've got a nice batch of software Picks to tell you abouttoday. So, if you're ready just grab something to drink, kick back in achair, relax, and lets take a look.

GetRightToGo, by Headlight Software, Inc.is a relatively new product from the people who make GetRight, myfavorite download utility. GetRightToGo is clever because it letsyou create your own customized download assistant if you will. It's great for software developers and companies because they cancreate a custom package to help you download their product. In testingit out I found that it's not only easy-to-use, but intuitive as well. That makes it perfect for users with all levels of experience. Whileit's targeted a Websites, software developers, and the like, it could beused by anyone with files to distribute.

The neat thing about GetRightToGo is that you can create apackage that uses your graphics, your text, and conveys a messageto your users. You don't need to be a programmer to create somethingreally slick. If you want you can even display ads in the interface. Orcoupons, or anything you like. What I like about it is that you cancustomize it so it has the same appearence as your Web site and add somecontinuity to your site and your downloads. So, if you're a softwaredeveloper or anyone who has files to distribute, take the time to checkout GetRightToGo! I recommend it!

Contacts Scrubber for Outlook, by TeamScopeSoftware is a nifty tool for those of you who use MicrosoftOutlook. It'll zip through all your contacts and find duplicates foryou. What I like is that it shows you the difference between two recordsso you can keep the one that has the most information. Or, you can mergethem. Pretty slick. While I don't use Microsoft Outlook for my email Ido have both the 2003 and 2007 version setup so I can testOutlook-specific programs like this one.

Contacts Scrubber for Outlook can work under your supervisionor you can let it process entries automatically. For testing itout I went in and intentionally put in duplicates with slightlydifferent information so I could see how the program worked. It workedgreat! The program even lets you handle duplicate contacts rightfrom within Outlook. Pretty cool! So, if you use Outlook and want toclean up your contacts and keep them that way, you gotta give this babya try! Well done.

Petal Palace, by Norbyteis a colorful game where you start out at a lovely palace. I don'tnormally review a lot of games, but this one caught my eye. The premiseis that the royal gardens are just really over crowded. The only thingyou can do is pick the flowers. Ahhh, but if only it were thateasy. By this I mean that the game tosses in some pitfalls and otherchallenges to make things more interesting.

Petal Palace has a lot of variations that make it fun to play.Your task is to pick the flowers and then lay them out by colors. Inorder to get around any obstacles you'll have to keep your eyes out forimplements that can help you. The game is fun, easy-to-play, and alsochallenging. So, if you're up for a non-violent game that can be fun forkids of all ages take a look at Petal Palace! Fun!

Pinochle and Bezique, by MeggieSoft Gamesis a cool card game that lets you play both Pinochle and Bezique. WhileI'd never played Bizique before I've been playing Pinochle since I wasin college. In fact, my wife and I are playing Pinochle tonight with myin-laws. I like the games by MeggieSoft because they strive forrealism and accuracy. I reviewed their Cribbage game and liked it somuch I bought it. I may well end up doing the same with Pinochle andBezique.

As with many games the rules tend to get modified from place toplace. This game tries to stick to the established and documented rulesof the games. These rules may differ slightly from the ones you're usedto. The games are based on the original versions which came fromGermany, France, and Switzerland and features 2 players using 2 decks ofcards. The game is easy-to-use, has good graphics and sound, and is funto play. Check it out, I recommend it!

Dr. File Finder Quick Pick

Rhapzode 3.0 is a utility for those of you who do a lot withPowerPoint. What's really cool is that the program can compile yourpresentation into a executable EXE file. That means your PowerPoint showis packed into one file and that file is encrypted. That keepsyour material safe. At the same time the program also enhances youroriginal presentations. So, if you're into PowerPoint take the time tocheck it out and I'll get to my full review as soon as I can.

Time flies when you're having fun and our time for today is gone! I hopeyou enjoyed these Picks. All of them are excellent products and I hopeyou'll download them and give them a try.
