Ubuntu Linux, by Canonical Ltd. won the People's Choice Award in the Best Web Enhancement category. Ubuntu Linux has been in the news quite a bit lately since it was selected to go on certain Dell computers. This was a big jump forward for the entire Linux community. Ubuntu is a variation of Debian. To clarify, Debian Linux is focused on the creation of a completely free operating system. Debian is firmly grounded in the basic principles of Linux - free software created through collaboration. As a variation of Debian, Ubuntu is also free in all respects. Unlike some distributions of Linux there aren't different versions of Ubuntu for those who want to pay.

The goal of the Ubuntu Foundation is to provide free software, support open source, and to make sure the software is supported. Having run Ubuntu in virtual machines it's easy for me to see why so many users voted for it.

ICUII, by Cybration, Inc. is won the People's Choice Award in the "Best Internet Communications" category. The product has won multiple times and it's also won the Shareware Industry Award. This award-winning program is designed for doing video, voice, or even text chats. ICUII has the power and flexibility to let you chat in a variety of ways depending on the hardware you have. If you don't have a video camera, no problem! One of the things I really like about ICUII is it's flexibility. It gives you lots and lots of choices, and I like that in any program. That's the way it should be and with ICUII, it is!

ICUII will let you talk with sound using a microphone. Don't have a microphone? Doesn't matter because you can also use text. ICUII uses its own server, so you can connect to friends no matter where they are in the world. The program has an intuitive user interface and is very easy-to-use! Check it out.

The program will help you to improve not only your reading speed, but also your comprehension. AceReader Pro gives you the tools to assess what your reading level is now. AceReader Pro keeps track of the tests you do and graphs them for you. That means you can easily see where you started and where you are now. An excellent way to keep track of your progress. And, not only can it help with the way you read "regular" material, but it also helps you to read better while online! AceReader Pro has won the award multiple times and it's easy to see why. Try it for yourself.

Windows Medial Player , by Microsoft Corporation won the People's Choice Award in the Best Sound Application or Utility category. This full-featured media player can manage all of your digital media.
