Note: Since by definition "smartphones" are phones that are also PDA's, the software reviewed here should work with personal digital assistants that are not "smartphones". Check the operating system because we'll be reviewing software for both Pocket PC and Palm devices. -- Editor
Spb Weather is a really powerful weather program for your Pocket PC or Windows Mobile device. I have it on my Treo 700w and it's great for finding out the weather in multiple cities. I like the fact that it has a range of configurable options including the ability to use skins or change the way the weather is displayed. As many of you may know, I've reviewed a number of excellent programs created by Spb Software House and Spb Weather didn't disappoint. For one they've made it so it integrates easily with a number of their other products including Spb Diary, Spb Mobile Shell, and Spb Pocket Plus.
On my phone I have Spb Weather as a tab in Spb Mobile Shell and it works great. I've also tested it out as a tab in Spb Pocket Plus and that works fine as well. Spb Weather can provide you with the weather for multiple cities and it also lets you choose from five view modes.
Spb Weather gives you an extedned forecast for each city so you can see the weather for the morning, afternoon, and night. It actually gives you the forecast for an entire week. Impressive. There's also support for adding your own custom cities. The weather is clear, clean, concise, and frequently updated. So,if you need to know the weather on your mobile device Spb Weather is your solution. Check it out.
