A Dr. File Finder Favorite -- CallClerk
CallClerk, by Rob Latour is a perfect solution for really dealing with phone calls. What can it do? Well, for one thing it can block calls that you don't want to receive. You can do this using a name or even Caller ID information. What I thought was very slick is that you can have Call Clerk play a message asking them not to call again. Great for dealing with solicitors.
CallClerk also puts a Caller ID window up on your screen. If you want it will even display a picture of the caller. In addition it will say their name and show the phone number. Another cool feature is the ability to assign custom ring tones, just like you do on most cell phones. CallClerk is easy-to-use is simply loaded with great features. I see it as an inexpensive way to give your home or small business a full-featured phone system. Another knock-out feature is the ability to send you an email telling you who called your phone.
CallClerk makes it easy to replace your answering machine and all the information you need is right on your computer. The program keeps track of all activity, plays standard or custom messages, and can even dial your outgoing calls for you. I was really impressed with the range of features found in CallClerk. I like it so much that it's not only a Pick, but it's also a Dr. File Finder Favorite and those are few and far between. If you're looking for a total solution for your phone this could be it. Check it out for yourself.
