Instant messaging has grown in popularity and there are an increasing number of IM clients. I was one of the early beta testers of ICQ and there was a time when it was running on my desktop constantly. The problem was that friends and colleagues were often using different IM clients and I was not going to have 4 or 5 messaging programs all running at once. For my PC I found a solution in the form of Pidgin. Now I've also found a solution for my Blackberry 8830 and it's called IM+ All-In-One Messenger. It has support for ICQ, Yahoo, AIM, Google Talk, Jabber, and more. It also supports an impressive array of mobile devices including BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Symbian, Palm, Brew, and J2ME. That means you can chat with your friends using IM+ All-In-One Messenger no matter what type of phone you have. In using the program I was impressed with the features it offered. I could easily add contacts from various services, edit their information, and more. On my Blackberry I configured ICQ, Yahoo, and Google Talk in just a matter of minutes. The program is very easy-to-use and intuitive, perfect for users with all levels of experience. The program can autoconfigure the network settings which means you don't have to have any special knowledge in order to use it. Slick. You can use IM+ All-In-One Messenger to communicate from your mobile to a PC or between other mobiles. I found it to be very handy for sending quick messages to my office manager, Kadee, in her Colorado office. I could send URLs to her, include emoticons in my text, and quickly get my message to her in real-time. Keep in mind that IM+ All-In-One Messenger has versions for many different platforms. So, while I'm talking about the version on my Blackberry you can also get a version for your Palm, Windows Mobile, or other device. The download link I'm providing takes you to a SHAPE Services Web page where you can pick the right version to download for your device. IM+ All-In-One Messenger is a powerful tool for your mobile device that's also easy-to-use. I like it so much that it's not only a Pick, but I'm also making it one of my Dr. File Finder Favorites and those are few and far between. So, if you'd like to have messaging on your smartphone, this software is your solution. Try it!
