ImageElements Photo Suite, by Lincoln Beach Software won the Shareware Industry Award in the "Best Graphics Application" category. This cool suite of tools contains Photomontage, Deja Vu, Picture Framer, Motivational Poster, Kaleidoscope, FrameOut, Feather Art, BrightSpot, and Filters. ImageElements gives you the power to create special effects without buying expensive software. Each tool is available for only $9.99 US or you can buy the complete suite for just $29.99 US. That's a steal. You may only want a couple of tools, but at this price you can afford to get them all. It's amazing the number of effects you can get out of these tools. If you visit the Web site at ImageElements.Com you can get a real appreciation for all the things you can do with your photos. This is the perfect software for anyone like me who is "graphically challenged". With the ImageElements Photo Suite even I can do cool things with my photos. The Photomontage is cool because you can make a montage out of just one picture. You have to see it to believe it. Feather Art really help draw attention to the focus of a picture by feathering the edges and making the subject jump out of the picture. The Deja Vu module accomplishes this in a slightly different way. It uses the picture as its own background. Really very slick. I found ImageElements Photo Suite to be both intuitive and easy-to-use. It's perfect for users with all levels of experience. You don't have to be a graphics designer or a Photoshop wizard to be able to do cool things with your pictures. So, if you'd like to create cool effects with your photos for next to nothing take a good look at ImageElements.

PayWindow Payroll 2008, by ZPAY Payroll Systems won the Shareware Industry Award in the "Best Business Program or Utility" category. PayWindow Payroll 2008 is a program that's simply ideal for doing payroll. It's a high-powered payroll program that's been around for over 20 years. And in that time I've been able to watch it grow and mature and become the killer program it is today. As the owner of a small business I can really appreciate the range of features that PayWindow 2008 provides. The program makes it easy to do a payroll based on any period you like including salary, commission, and hourly. You can do everything and that includes things like doing your payroll, printing checks, doing reports, printing forms, and more! What's really cool is that it has editable tax tables so you don't have to pay each year to keep your tax tables up-to-date. It offers a tremendous variety of reports, lets you print checks, print forms, and much more. You owe it to yourself, and to your budget, to take a look at PayWindow 2008. It's easy to see why it's won some prestigious awards. Give it a try and see for yourself.

Google Earth, by Google, Inc. won the Shareware Industry Award in the "Best Hobby and Personal Interest" category. This cool tool is free and lets you "fly" all around the globe. You can look at your house or apartment, look at the neighborhood school, or look at famous landmarks. You can also use Google Earth to find driving directions, find hotels, parks, places to eat, and lots more. You can also share your searches and have "favorites" that you can go back to again and again. On top of that, if you want to be a fighter pilot you can put it in simulator mode and "fly" all over the world in your jet. You can also look at "street level" view in many areas which is very cool. Last, but certainly not least, you can flip Google Earth and look at the stars right over your head. It's a great way to learn the names of, and find, constellations. If you haven't looked at Google Earth you need to check it out. I can see why so many programmers voted for it.
