Streaming Audio Studio, by Streaming Audio Studio Co., Ltd. is a really full-featured program for working with sounds. In testing it out I was impressed with just how much it could do. You can use it to edit existing sounds, record new sounds, convert sounds into new formats, and much more. I spent quit a bit of time just playing with lots of my audio files. You can actually split audio files as well as being able to splice audio files together. Streaming Audio Studio really does do it all and it can handle a wide range of sound file formats including MP3, WAV, MWA, OGG, and many more. You can feel free to play around because the program lets you undo as much as you want so you don't have to worry about messing up your favorite sounds files. Another cool feature of Streaming Audio Studio is the ability to record streaming music, like from the Internet, and save it right to disk. Slick. I like the fact that the program supports "drag-and-drop" because that makes it really easy to drop files on the program and work with them. You can have a real blast playing with some of the special effects like chorus, echo, hiss, reverb, and more. You can also use the program to clean-up recordings and remove imperfections from the tracks. Streaming Audio Studio is a powerful program, yet it's also intuitive and easy-to-use, perfect for both new and experienced users. So, if you like audio, this is a program you need to try. I recommend it.

WordBanker English - Spanish, by Catalyst Projects Ltd. is a program I decided to look at because I thought it was going to be some type of word game. In fact, WordBanker English - Spanish is a nifty program that helps you to learn Spanish. WordBanker has a slightly different focus than many other language products I've evaluated. The program focuses heavily on vocabulary while putting much less emphasis on grammar. I personally think this is a good approach because vocabulary is key to really being able to speak a language. What I like about WordBanker English - Spanish is that it helps you learn visually by giving you clues. To me that makes it much easier to grasp new language concepts and vocabulary. If you think about it we all learned to talk by looking at an object and finding out what it was called, whether it was "Mom" or "apple." The program is highly configurable and you can make it work for you no matter what your goals are. For example, the words can be edited so you can adapt your way of speaking a language to a particular area. You can also configure how your practice sessions go and either make them easier or harder. WordBankder is a complete package that gives you everything you need to start learning a language. So, if you'd like to learn Spanish, or any number of other languages, WordBanker may well be the solution you've been looking for. Check it out.

If you have a hard time keeping track of things and remembering things you need to do, xReminder Pro, by Duality Software, may be your solution. With xReminder Pro you can enter all of the things that you want and need to remember like birthdays, wedding anniversaries, appointments, doctors visits, payments, and lots more. In testing it out I found the program to have a nice-looking interface that was both intuitive and easy-to-use. To me that makes it perfect for both new and experienced users. I also liked the fact that the program has a number of configurable options which means it can work the way you want it to. There's support for holidays from around the world so you'll know exactly when some special day is coming up. xReminder Pro also has a "floating clock" that can be can be updated with atomic clock time servers. Slick. You can import and export data, print out a list of upcoming events, have reminders keep you on track, and plenty more. Job Designer, by Acvatec Software is a cool program for anyone who needs to manage employees, spaces, and other important resources. This is a great product for mid-sized businesses who are looking for an easy way to manage both resources and billing. Job Designer helps you to manage multiple projects and see at a glance what people and resources you have available. In testing it out I found it to be easy-to-use and intuitive. I liked the way the program would allow me to manage work that needed to be done. For example, you can manage the rooms you have available. That's a handy feature so you don't book two meetings into the same room. Job Designer also makes it easy to see which employees are working on each job so you don't double schedule anyone. In evaluating it I entered some test data and found that I could even create a "quote" for a potential client. The ability to manage equipment, rooms, and employees truly lets you "design" a job. This is a truly full-featured program that handles all the little details for you. For example, if there are changes to the schedule Job Designer can send out an email to everyone who needs to know. That's a great way to prevent conflicts from happening. On top of everything else it can also handle billing, print out time sheets, and lots more. So, if your company needs a little help with organizing Job Designer may just be the solution for you. Give it a try.
