|A lightweight and user-friendly personal notes manager that supports easy text clipping...|
If you’ve been on the look-out for an accessible, lightweight note-taking app, might I suggest giving CintaNotes a try? Although I only recently installed this application, I already consider it to be one of those indispensable tools that I'll install on every new device for years to come! Allow me share a few of my favorite features…
First of all, CintaNotes is a self-contained application, which means you can put it on a portable drive and take your notes with you wherever you go because it can run directly from the drive - no need to install it on each and every computer you use.
CintaNotes lets you clip text from anywhere. It works with any application that can copy text to the clipboard, including browsers, document editors and the like, without the need to install additional add-ons or plug-ins. Intuitively, it saves the text and its source URL to a new note, all with the simple press of the hotkey. It really doesn't get any easier than that! Of course, you can also enter notes manually as well. Notes can be stored by themselves, in groups, merged, backed up and edited at any time. Another great feature is the ability to tag your notes to optimize organization. Retrieving the notes you've previously saved is simple as well; it's just a matter of opening CintaNotes and typing a keyword. The program will automatically start to list only the notes containing that keyword or phrase. Of course, you can refine your search by typing more keywords or searching by title, URL or tag.
CintaNotes is the perfect companion app for anyone who spends a great deal of time collecting research data, snippets of text, quotes or the like. Because of the time stamp feature and portability, it would also be helpful to anyone who regularly logs a journal, no matter how simple or sophisticated the writing may be. What's more, the free version of the software allows you to easily synchronize and share your note files using online storage services like Google Drive, DropBox and SugarSync.
The professional version of the software is affordable at only $25 and it provides access via mobile devices and tablets by synchronizing notes with Simplenote. CintaNotes Pro also allows the user to create multiple notebooks, provides tag hierarchy with an expandable tag tree, and users can easily paste notes into other applications. Among its many premium features, it also offers the ability to export notes in HTML format, which may prove a nifty addition for bloggers and web developers.
