What is the secret to getting better grades? Do you really need a brain transplant? Not at all. You can get better grades by being more organized and better managing your study time. The StudyMinder Homework System is designed to help you do just that. StudyMinder tracks and manages homework assignments and tests, and completely eliminates the need for a brain transplant.

Any student age 12 and up can use the StudyMinder Homework System. The program is simple enough for middle school students and powerful enough to help college students cope with a difficult class schedule.

You'll be using it like an expert in minutes. After you launch the program, just click on a day in the Week View to add a new homework assignment. Most of the information you enter in the Assignment Window is selected from menus, so it takes only seconds to add a new assignment, project, quiz or test. From the menus, select the difficulty of the assignment (easy or difficult) and the estimated time to complete it.

The real power of StudyMinder comes from the Estimated Time feature. StudyMinder tells you the total time you need to prepare for school each day, based on the time you estimate for each assignment. You can see at a glance that you have 90 minutes of homework due tomorrow, and 10 hours of homework due in two weeks from now (that huge science project!)

When you complete an assignment or finish preparing for a test, enter the time you actually spent. StudyMinder will show you how much time you studied for each class. It can also handle multiple study sessions for the same assignment. This feature is handy for managing large homework projects. After you complete a study session, enter the amount of time you just studied. StudyMinder will update the total estimated time remaining for that project. When you are finally finished, mark the assignment as done.

When you get your grades back, enter them into StudyMinder. Now you can automatically track your current grade point average for each class and your total GPA for all classes.

Of course, the StudyMinder Homework System is far better than a paper planner that just sits there and does nothing. It also has features for managing homework that are not available in a general purpose planner software, including the ability to:

  • See at a glance if you are ready for school tomorrow
  • Sort assignments by class, difficulty, estimated time and date due
  • See a history of all your study time
  • Use the built-in timer to clock your study time
  • See your current grade point average for each class
  • Easily share assignment instructions with your classmates

StudyMinder also helps you manage a busy students to-do list and event calendar. Use the Tasks feature to keep your own personal list of things to do. With the Events feature, you can add all those important dates like holidays, birthdays and school events, to your calendar.

Requirements:

StudyMinder requires Windows 2000/XP and the Microsoft .NET Framework v1.1, which can be downloaded from the Microsoft Web site if you dont already have it installed.

StudyMinder is $29.95. Visit http://www.studyminder.com for a collection of useful study tips and free student resources.
