4Diskclean Gold, by RSS Systems, is a neat program that takes care of spyware and a whole lot more. 4Diskclean Gold not only helps eliminate spyware as you encounter it, but it can also stop existing spyware from working. At the same time it performs a number of other functions that are extremely useful. For example, the program can be used to clean out your Internet cache, and if you want, it can do it automatically. Pretty slick. It can also find and delete not only duplicate files, but duplicate DLLs as well. The program will also give you a graphical analysis of your disk space usage, repair the Windows registry, and more.

4Diskclean Gold also has a function that cleans your Windows registry. In testing it I found that this module works quite well - very fast and efficient. It scans the registry, looks for and find problems, and then fixes them. Really nicely done. The program has an intuitive interface and is very easy-to-use and that makes it perfect for users with all levels of experience. The overall concept of the program is to keep your computer running smoothly by removing all kinds of junk. What Is SpyWare?

Driver Genius Professional Edition 2005, by Driver-Soft, is a program that caught my eye because it's fairly unique. There are many programs that will backup your computer, but this program focuses specifically on device drivers. Device drivers are files that tell a device like a printer, modem, scanner and so on, how to work. Many computer users don't realize the importance of device drivers or of keeping the ones on your computer up-to-date.

Driver Genius Professional Edition 2005 is really slick in the way it works. To begin with, it not only manages all of your device drivers, but it can also perform diagnostics on your computer. Fire it up and it can backup all of your device drivers. Another neat feature is that it can go out and look for updates of your existing device drivers. That's a great way to keep all your devices running at their best. The program also has the ability to not only backup all of your device drivers, but to put them in a self-extracting EXE file. Some of you may say "So what?" Well, here's what. If you should have a crash and have to reinstall everything on your computer, you might have to search for floppy disks and CDs that have the device drivers. But with a a self-extracting EXE that contains all your device drivers, you can restore them all with just a couple of mouse clicks. Very cool!

Driver Genius Professional Edition 2005 is designed to do a task and to do it well, and I'd say it succeeds. The company keeps an online database of device drivers for video cards, modems, motherboards, network cards, cameras and lots more. In testing it out it even found a device driver for me that previously I couldn't find. Impressive. This is the kind of program that can help you to keep your computer running smoothly and at peak performance. Very nicely done -- you owe it to yourself to give it a try, I recommend it!

Auto Backup, by Han-soft, is a neat program that automatically backups up all of your important data. Let's face it, sometimes you forget. I know I do so I use software that takes care of it for me. Auto Backup can backup your data to a drive on your network, a local hard disk, or even to an FTP site. Just pick the files and folders you want to backup, tell the program when you want the backup to run, and you're all set. You can set it to run while you're at your computer or when you're not.

Auto Backup also lets you do backup and restore operations manually. And I found that the restore feature is quite efficient. The programs interface is easy-to-use and intuitive. If you want you can protect your backups with a password. Another slick feature is notification. Say you go on vacation and you'd like to know that your data is being backed up while you're gone. Well, Auto Backup can send you an e-mail telling you that a backup has taken place. Very handy. You can also tell the program to automatically backup when your computer shuts down. I think that's an excellent feature because you can make sure that your backups are totally up-to-date.

Auto Backup is loaded with neat features and functions. It lets you restore file or whole programs to new locations, can backup all files or just the ones that have changed, and it sits quietly in your tray so it's not in your way. This program is perfect for both new and experienced users. So, if you'd like to make sure your important data is protected automatically, you might want to take a good look at Auto Backup. It fast, full-featured, and friendly. Give it a try.

CaptureWizPro Screen Capture , by PixelMetrics, is a really nice screen capture program that's intuitive and easy-to-use. The program lets you capture virtually everything on your screen. And I do mean everything - from video to audio to images. I liked the fact that it was so easy-to-use. You can capture images that are automatically saved to a file that the program numbers. The program also supports a wide range of file formats including JPG, GIF, BMP, PNG and more. You can also send your captures directly to your printer. One feature that I thought was really cool was the ability to save to the equivalent of a Post-It note. Slick!

CaptureWizPro Screen Capture lets you capture large areas, like a Web page for example. And unlike some similar programs it can also capture things like drop-down menus, cursors, buttons, dialog boxes and lots more. You can also activate your captures in a couple of ways. Like most capture programs it will let you assign a hotkey, but you can also initiate a capture from a handy tray icon or from a capture bar that's there when you need it. The program also comes with a neat thumbnail viewer so you can easily see your captures without hunting for them.

CaptureWizPro Screen Capture has a lot of configurable options so you can make the program work the way you want it to and I always like that in any program. It captures everything, including things like screen savers that most capture programs can't get. Impressive. The program even backs itself up -- you can't ask for much more than that. Screen captures are excellent tools for explaining things to others, grabbing information or pictures off the Web, and lots more. So, if you've been looking for a screen capture program with lots of options this might just be what you're looking for. Download it and give it a try, I think you'll like it!
