Here's a great online service called Document Converter eXPress released by Neevia Technology. It's an online document converter that allows anyone with an Internet connection the ability to convert their files into PDF format. They support many different file types, such as ASCII, ANSI, RTF, WordPerfect, Lotus and Corel QuattroPro, as well as the popular Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Works documents. They can also convert a wide array of image file formats to PDF as well as convert them to another type of image format, say PNG, BMP or TIFF.
Neevia can send the converted file to the user via e-mail or provide a download to the document through the Web site - the decision is up to the user. This is offered as a free service and the only watermark they add is the one the user chooses, if any at all. Additionally, PDF documents can be encrypted at 40 bits or 128 bits, which is again left to the discretion of the user.
This sure beats those pricey PDF conversion tools that don't seem to offer the same variety of functionality. Additionally, it's possible to implement the conversion application on your own Web server or internal network.
