Surfulater, by Soft As it Gets Pty Ltd is a program that I use myself to gather ideas for articles. Rather than jot down notes about a topic I might want to write about, I use Surfulater to "grab" the idea and save it for me. No typing involved. The program lets you save anything you find on the Internet. At the same time, the program makes it easy to organize information as well. It's perfect for anyone doing research, gathering information, and so on.

Surfulater lets you put things in categories and you can even cross-reference entries. I actually have categories that are related to columns here on Tucows. So, I have a "How To" category, a "Tell Me About" category, and so on. The program is very intuitive and easy-to-use. To me that makes it perfect for users with all levels of experience. Another feature that I really like is that it supports Firefox which is my default browser. Some of the other programs only work with Internet Explorer.

Surfulater makes it easy to gather information, to save things that you want to read later, and more. Create as many categories as you want and the build your own library of information. I find the program to be very useful. In fact, I've come to like Surfulater so much that it's not only a Pick but it's also one of my Dr. File Finder Favorites and those are few and far between. Check it out ... I think you'll like it!

SurfSaver, by askSam Systems is a nifty add-on for your Web browser! And if you surf the 'net as much as I do, I think you'll like this program. What's it do? Well, it lets you save Web pages, on-the-fly, to your hard disk. Speaking for myself, I'm busy and often don't have time to read everything I see on the Internet. At least not right at the moment I see it. And that's where SurfSaver comes in. For example, you're on a news page, but you don't have time to read it. Simply have SurfSaver Pro save it, and then you can read it later. And SurfSaver Pro saves everything -- all the graphics and all the links. It can be weeks from now and you can still have access to a news story you saved. The program lets you archive anything you want off the Internet -- news, game tips, recipes, sale items. You name it!

SurfSaver Pro, as I said earlier, is an add-on for your Web browser. It becomes a part of your browser toolbar, so it's always right at hand. And what it's really doing is creating a database of Web pages right on your computer. And a database that you can easily search! The search feature is extremely powerful. You can search for text, like "News." Or, you can search on a range of dates, like November 1, 2004 through November 22, 2004. You can also use Boolean operators like AND, OR, and NOT. Search by the Web URL (Universal Resource Locator), or a list of keywords. SurfSaver makes it easy to find exactly what you want. And besides being great for everyday things, SurfSaver is wonderful for anyone who's doing research. Think about it. Go out, find what you're looking for, and save it all to your hard disk. It's all there, waiting for you to read, to print, to search, and more! Nothing could be easier.

SurfSaver Pro, by askSam Systems, is a powerful tool the becomes a part of your Web browser. It lets you store the contents of Web pages right on your computer. At the same time, it has the power of a database and it lets you search, and find, exactly what you're looking for. The power of the search function is impressive. I'd say that SurfSaver Pro is a handy tool for anyone and it's a must-have tool for anyone who's doing research! I've looked at a lot of "browser add-ons," but this is one that has become a permanent part of my browsers. If you're busy, or doing research of any kind, take a good look at SurfSaver Pro!

Onfolio, by Onfolio, Inc. is another good product that lets you save things you see on the Internet. It lets you organize your data so things are easy to find. Onfolio has a couple of different versions so you can pick the version that's just right for you. For example, the Professional version is loaded with features like the ability to save on-line data, read RSS news feeds, send e-mail, and more. Heck, you can even publish items in Onfolio to your Web site.

Onfolio becomes a part of your browser so the information is close at hand. It gathers news feed information for you and help keep you up-to-date. That's a feature I really like. Want to subscribe to a news feed? Just one mouse click and you have it. Very easy. Another cool feature, as long as we're talking about newsfeeds, it the ability to view your newsfeeds in what the program calls a "newspaper view." This view is really easy-to-read and is appealing to the eye, or at least to my eyes.

Onfolio helps you to organize not only the content you "grab," but the RSS news feed content as well. The program also has a powerful search function that can help you to find what you're looking for. You can even keep a "reading list" of things you want to get to. So, if you're looking for a cool way to grab Web content and do all your RSS news feeds, take a good look at Onfolio.

Web Dumper, by Max Programming LLC is a cool product for helping you to download sites from the Internet and save them. This baby actually saves an entire Web site so you have all of the content -- graphics, sounds, the works. The program goes to work and puts a Web site right on your hard disk where you can access it anytime.

Web Dumper gives you quite a few options when it comes to downloading Web pages. You can pick and choose what files to save if you like. The program gives you the ability to "exclude" certain file types if you like and if you want you can also make sure you always "include" other file types. Web Dumper has support for proxy servers, it closely monitors its downloads, and also checks for error. The interface is nicely done and the program is easy-to-use.

Web Dumper has version for both Windows and Macintosh. It works very quickly and gives you all the options you need to have total control over the process. I like that. So, if you'd like to save Web content, take a look at Web Dumper. It may be just what you've been looking for.

Offline Explorer Pro, by MetaProducts Corporation is a handy tool for downloading all of your favorite Web sites. And when I say Web sites, I don't just mean HTML pages. The program can and will download entire sites -- up to 500 pages at one time! It's perfect for "grabbing" things that you want to browse later. Or save for later. And, if you wish you can also edit the pages you save. Very slick. And it's impressive just how fast Offline Explorer Pro is. I feel the user interface is quite intuitive and very easy-to-use, which makes it perfect for both new and experienced users.

Offline Explorer Pro gives you lots of options and lots of power to get the job done. You can have URL macros, a specific download directory, and even a display of the files awaiting download. And you also have the flexibility to exclude, or include, specific files, folders, and servers. You can do this strictly through the use of keywords! And the program handles anything that you throw at it because it supports all of the most common and popular "standards." It supports, for example, Macromedia Flash, cascading style sheets, Adobe Acrobat, XML, table of contents and RealMedia. And that means that when go to browse Web pages you've downloaded, you get to see it all! Very nicely done!

Offline Explorer Pro, by MetaProducts Corporation, is a perfect tool for downloading Web pages for later use. The interface is user-friendly and intuitive. And it provides support for a dazzling array of standards currently in use on the Internet. The program is extremely fast, and gives you a range of configurable options. So, if you've been looking for a way to download Web pages so you can look at them later, this may be just what you've been looking for. I've looked at a number of similar programs, and this is the best I've seen. Take a good look for yourself! I recommend it!
