Redact-It Desktop is an easy-to-use desktop application that uses patent-pending technology to intelligently remove sensitive content and privacy information from documentsincluding PDFs, office documents and scanned images. Redact-It creates a PDF or TIFF rendition of the redacted file, leaving the source file untouched.
Redact-It Desktop provides a rich set of tools that make it easy to find and mark the areas to redact. Select text and automatically redact all occurrences of that text in the document. Redact all occurrences of common privacy information, such as Social Security Numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth, or even names. Draw redaction boxes over sensitive information. Find specific text or patterns of text to redact. Redact entire pages. Find and redact ranges of text that begin or end with specific words or symbols. Use pre-defined lists of words to find common phrases to redact in a set of documents. Build templates that define zones to redact on forms. Create scripts that allow you to consistently repeat a set of actions, including zonal and search redactions, in many documents. Apply a template or script when a document is first opened so that the redactions are created before you even begin working with the document.
