The primary function of this program is to convert video and DVD files from one format to another.
It supports reading and writing in nearly all popular video formats. Moreover, the embedded system profiles allow you to create video files for nearly every multimedia player, including the iPhone/iPad/iPod, Zune, Archos, iRiver, and others. Full DVD support allows you to copy disks onto the computer or to make your own DVDs.
With its built-in video editor, the program allows you to cut unnecessary sections from videos, take clips from videos, break them up into sections and join individual scenes together. Moreover, you can export the audio from videos into the most popular formats, and also save stills on your computer.
Using the built-in download manager you can download videos from YouTube and save them on your computer in whatever format you want. You could, for example, download a YouTube video and burn it on a DVD. Or you could save separated audio tracks from a YouTube download.
