Most computer users have private files and folders stored on their computers which they do not want others to be able to see.
Unfortunately, however, there is no standard way of hiding specific folders and files on your computer and preventing access to them. Editing Windows NTFS permissions makes it possible to limit access to specified files and folders, but its functionality is limited and, for the average computer user, it is also a very complicated process. This is why a third-party utility such as Private Folders Lite is so useful in cases where you want to properly protect your data. The private folder program supports all versions of Windows from Windows XP to Windows 8, including 64-bit editions. It also supports FAT, FAT32, exFAT and NTFS file systems. The program is exceptionally easy to use and no learning curves are required. Protecting and hiding a folder is simply a matter of a few clicks. Hotkeys are also supported.
