Metro Style Icon Studio 2012.1

Metro Style Icon Studio enables designers to draw Metro-style icons from scratch, import, modify and convert existing images while applying a number of special effects. The tool features user interface in the Metro style, and is optimized for the 256x256 monochrome PNG format. You're not limited to creating monochrome Metro-style icons only; the tool supports color images of up to 32-bit True Color with semi-transparency layer.

Metro Style Icon Studio features all the tools an icon designer needs to produce perfectly looking icons for Aero and Metro-style apps. Designers can import, convert, edit, modify, create new icons and draw them from scratch by using a wide range of available tools. A variety of effects are available including drop shadow, opacity, smooth, negative, grayscale, colorize, rotate, roll and mirror. Any combination of these effects can be applied to a bunch of icons at once, allowing, for example, quickly producing Metro-style monochrome icons out of existing Vista or Windows 7 graphics.

The tool allows importing existing icons from a variety of graphic formats including BMP, GIF, PNG, XPM, XBM, Adobe Photoshop and ICO, as well as extracting icons from executable (.EXE) and dynamic library (.DLL) files, ZIP and RAR archives and compressed icon packs. Icons in resolutions of up to 512x512 pixels (Leopard-style) are supported. Collection management and Internet download are supported.

While Metro Style Icon Studio looks like a native Metro-style app, you can still run it in Windows XP, 2003, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 in 32-bit and 64-bit editions.
