FontCat is designed to make it easier to view what fonts you have on your hard drive or CD collections, view them online, or print out samples for future reference.

  • Find all fonts contained in a folder.
  • List all fonts in a folder (in its actual face) without having to first install them.
  • View the list of fonts in a slide show format so you can see and choose which fonts you want to use.
  • Click on a font to bring up more detailed views.
  • Print out a listing of your fonts in their actual face, without having to install them.
  • Use the built-in layout editor to design your own custom type reference pages.

    For more detailed information, including on later updates, please read the documentation or visit the home page.

    Note

    This version is fully functional, except for saving custom font layouts, and is limited to listing the first 20 fonts in a collection. FontCat" is a shiped as a Fat application that will run on PowerPC and 68k machines. You will need at least 1 meg of memory and System 7 or later. The more memory you give the program the larger the number of fonts you can work with at one time.
