Water Rocket Fun 3.3.1
Water Rocket Fun is an easy to use, effective way to introduce students to some of the physics involved with water rocket launches.
It may even help students understand the factors of rocket performance!
The software determines the ascent of a rocket (apogee) for a selected set of variable values. One can play around with the variables of pressure, bottle selection, water volume, air drag, and the strength of gravity.
The software includes time plots of energy, thrust, impulse, displacement and velocity that provide insight as to why rocket performance varies as parameters change.
Plot the kinetic energy of the launch phase with various parameter changes and discover why a certain mix of water and pressure optimizes the apogee of a launch.
