Thunder is a Battle.

net. chat/bot client for the Mac. It features standard chat concepts established by various Windows9x Battle.net chat bots. When you play Diablo, Starcraft and other games on your Mac, you often make contact with those who are using Windows 9x chat bots. Thunder allows you to chat and receive commands from users on Battle.net.
Thunder logs you onto Battle.net servers so you can chat or check out the community. You'll discover that up to 40,000 to 60,000 people are often logged on. Quite a community to get to know.

Until Thunder is registered it will automatically limit your chat sessions to 10 minutes. Once you register this restriction vanishes. After registering, updates are free.
