Faust's Friend 2.4
Faust's Friend grabs news headlines and places them in a ticker on your desktop - just put the ticker wherever it is easiest for you to read it.

Three channels are available in this version: MacSlash, Moreover and Slashdot.
The settings include choices of how often to check for news, whether to download news at startup, to show date and time along with the headlines, to play a sound when opening a channel and more. In addition, you can set the ticker pace to go slower or faster, or to pause so you can get a better look at a particular headline.
