PRAM Inspector 1.1
Various settings need to be preserved when the Macintosh is off so they will still be present at the next system startup.
This information is kept in parameter RAM (PRAM), which is stored in the clock chip together with the current date and time setting. The clock chip is powered by a battery when the system is off, thereby preserving all the settings stored in it.
PRAM Inspector lets you see exactly what is stored in your PRAM, so you can detect problems yourself.
