No Escape
We approached No Escape seems a bit leerily as it seemed like a chop job from the pages of Variety.

(The main Hollywood rag, for those who don't know.) Check out this blurb--"Take eight contestants, drop 'em in front of a live studio audience... then throw in the guns! This is what you get when you mix survival TV with online gaming!" Gotta love exclamation points.
However, when we got a hold of the demo a few weeks ago we were quite pleasantly surprised. Lifting us away from the drudgery and slavery of video game review was the ray of light that provides us with "No Escape."
A cartoony 3rd person shooter, No Escape grabbed us by its humor. "What's popin playa?," says Lenny Leroi as he unleashes a rocket towards Chuck McFlint, the ex Navy Seal. "That all you got?," asks McFlint as his face implodes.
One of the real advantages of this game is it's deathmatch but not another quake rip off. IT's more fun than serious, although one could get quite obsessed with this game. Bottom line, if you want to be amused and blow things up for the low introductory price of $29.99, this ones for you.
