Archibalds Digger 2.0
Like most other arcade classics that are brought to life for newer computers, Archibald's Digger's strongest change is the upgrade to the visuals.

Much of the gameplay is the same, digging your way through tunnels while collecting gems. Certain techniques can be used to turn boulders against the enemies that are chasing you for an even higher score.
On the downside, the enemies often have no real method to the mayhem that they offer. Instead of being able to counter a certain pattern, they will switch from a random pattern to a heat-seeking one. While I'm not complaining about the difficulty, it would be nice to have a better solution than just running like hell.
But with the absence of tons of games of this nature, you might find that Archibald's Digger gives you exactly what you need -- classic arcade gameplay.
