Works incredibly well!

I needed to recover precious photos on a friend's PC when a repair workshop formatted the hard drive and botched the backup.

I tried four different file recovery apps including Recover My Files, Pareto Logic and File Recover.

Searching for jpgs yielded exactly two files on Pareto Logic - neither was a jpg. Recover My Files found the original directory structure but not many files. File Recover yielded one of two folders from the original structure - no files.

File Scavenger on the other hand blew us all away when it not only unearthed the original tree but pretty much every jpg that had been saved on this computer since it was bought. The trial version showed the previews of the images and a few trial recoveries showed only the tops of the images. Support responded to quickly to my question as to whether the full version would recover the entire pic with the assertion that the trial version only recovers up to 67 meg - hence only the top of the pic. The full version would find anything that was still intact.

A "long" search yielded over 30,000 jpgs (many duplicates due to files being moved around during the PCs life) and we were able to completely reconstruct my friend's photo albums.
