With FlexBackup, you can:

  • Easily configure
  • Use dump, afio, tar or cpio with the flick of a switch
  • Back up, extract, compare and list modes
FlexBackup also offers the Full (0) and 1-9 levels of incremental backup, and is file system-oriented (as in, it won't traverse devices).

FlexBackup also offers you the ability to perform remotes over file systems (over rsh/ssh, or no special service), and works with IDE/SCSI tapes on Linux/FreeBSD or Linux ftape (thus allowing for table of contents support).
