it does not work on .swf very well. I tried to convert from .swf to .mpeg2 (and then anything else I could try) and it failed every time. Oh, and this was after I shelled out the $35. Waste of time and money.

fooz, I met the same problem with you before. Have you tried to add files from "File>>Add Directshow Files..." ? When it failes, I just load files in this way, and it works for me.
