Beside the usual options defining the capture area, AviScreen has a unique feature called follow the cursor. Using this mode you can produce a video or image of relatively small dimensions while covering all mouse activity over the whole screen area.

No-nonsense interface, easy to install and mostly does what it says on the box.
I had some problems capturing in certain codecs but switched to non-compressed format (I compress the videos later anyway) and it works nicely. Also had a few crashes (Vista) but nothing serious.
Except for these few niggles - very nice!
