FastInfoset.NET is a standards-based class library that reduces the size of text XML and speeds up processing performance by encoding and decoding binary XML conformant to the new ITU/ISO Fast Infoset specification. Its classes are integrated into the XML API of .NET so you can easily use them similarly to the XmlTextReader and XmlTextWriter. FastInfoset.NET is excellent both for storing XML documents and for communicating with other platforms as it is interoperable with Fast Infoset for Java.NET by Sun as well as with other FI implementations for Windows, Solaris and Linux. New in version 2 are assemblies both for .NET and .NET CF, improved MSDN-style documentation, and classes for GZIP compression of text XML, binary XML or other streams when you want maximum compactness and can accept lower performance.
