Upgrading from XP to Windows 7 - Doing a full back up
Before upgrading from XP to Windows 7, make sure you back up important files and folders. For more related videos see the following topics on butterscotch.com.

Filed under: backup; clean install; upgrade; Windows 7; Windows XP

Reflect can backup files and folders into a compressed mountable archive file or your entire PC into a single image. Using this image you can restore the entire disk, partition or individual files and folders.

You can create full, differential and incremental images to optimize backup speed and disk space requirements.

Images can be stored on local or network drives, CD or DVD media, and removable drives connected using USB or Firewire (IEEE1394). In the event of a total loss of the Windows operating system your PC can be started using the Reflect recovery CD. This CD starts a compact version of the Linux or Windows PE 2.0 with a familiar mouse and graphical interface.

XML backup definition files and a VBScript generator give ultimate control over the backup process.

v4.2 includes many new options including a Windows boot menu to boot into the Reflect rescue environment without using a boot CD/DVD.

Higher compression ratio and faster compression makes Reflect the fastest imaging and backup software available.
