I installed a free version of this in 2006 - however, it expired in 2007 and left me high and dry with no way to renew. Immediately my computer was overwhelmed with malware with no way to even use it to save the situation.

I LOVE this program!! It found and removed several trojans, that other Name Brand programs missed, or failed to remove.
Keep up the good work!!

Unfortunately the updates to this program automaticaly install the Yahoo toolbar without giving you any chance to say no, as you would if you were installing it yourself. I consider this malware and it is not to be trusted. Anyone that installs software without warning that you have previously elected not to install, has something to hide. The Yahoo toolbar is slowing down my computer and there is no easy or obvious uninstallation. Don't risk it! YES I AM ANGRY!

This was the only A/V program that I could get to install, after I got the pcDefender virus. pcDefender disabled the programs I already had and nothing else would install. Not even the program I bought at the store. AVG got all or most of it out ( pcDefender tends to download dozens of OTHER trojans and viruses ). My system was too badly damaged to save, though... I had to do a clean install. Still, if you get pcDefender, AVG is worth a shot.
