Game Show 1.0
This application is a model of a Monty Hall style game show where the player is allowed to pick one of three doors.
After the player picks a door one of the remaining doors is revealed. The player is then given the option to switch their choice. If the player never switches he/she will win approximately 33% of the time. If the player switches every time he/she will win approximately 66% of the time. The user can play or have the computer play for them.
This model can be used to demonstrate a probability puzzle commonly known as the Monty Hall Paradox or the Game Show Problem. It is a veridical paradox in that the result appears absurd but is demonstrably true.
