An operating system with a graphical interface may no longer work after a virus infection of the boot or master record. For this reason, the workstation versions of AntiVir contain an additional version of AntiVir for DOS. You can bypass installed operating systems on the hard disk by starting your computer with the aid of the bootable AntiVir CD-ROM and scanning it with AntiVir for DOS.

AntiVir for DOS is made up of three components: the command-line scanner, the scanning and repair program, and the QCDRV device driver.

An e-mail and attachment scanner are also included.
